Marijuana should be decriminalized.

Large numbers of Canadians are being charged for possesion of marijuana, whether it be large or small amounts. We are often required to submit a criminal record check, when applying for a job or university. It is unfortunate that these offenses could potentially prevent us from moving forward in our lives. Aswell if marijuana were to be legalized, it may even decrease the usage of it. Having easy access to it, may cause people to not have as much of a crave for it. Many simply smoke it just for the reason that it is illegal. Some argue that marijuana is just like a simple cigarrete, nothing more. Statistics prove that marijuana is one of the least harmful drugs. Unlike substances such as alcohol which is legal, and hurt us in the long run. Decriminalizing marijuana will benefit our economy overall. With our court systems backed up so far due to cases associated with the usage, possesion, or trafficking of marijuana. Something that seems all so silly to me. Our prisons are filled with teenagers who arent criminals, just wanna be thugs who enjoy a good smoke here and there. Lets legalize marijuana, and save space in our jails for the real criminals.

Overruled by selfish thoughts, on a cold dark night, with all the green in the world she has noone to share, one is left oh so lonely. With the power and respect, one could work a lifetime yet never achieve, she is found so empty and incomplete. The animal that lays upon provides warmth and comfort, but this feeling of comfort, is much different with the comfort shared with a companion. Money can supply her joy, but she may never find true happiness.

Novel Synthesis

The poem Not waving, but Drowning relates to the novel My sister's Keeper quite significantly. Specifically with Anna, whom is constantly ignored. like the character in Stevie Smith's Not Waving but Drowning. " Nobody heard him, but still he lay moaning ", which correlates with Anna's character, because she literally has to file a lawsuit against her parents to be heard. Many could say Anna was drowning, drowning in the life that was throw upon her. Similar to the "poor chap" who died, because it had "been too cold for him." This is relevant with the denoument of My Sister's Keeper. It relates with the fact, all the time Anna remained voiceless, it had eventually gotten the best of her. Therefore something was bound to happen to either her sister, or herself. Which led to her death, ultiimatley becoming her sister's keeper.

" Her writes often capture the readers abundant attention from the very first page, allowing one to imagine " the ripples of each characters' lives echoing on and on, even after the last page has been turned. " Leaving most wishing they hadnt turned it. With work emphasizing the complexity of human relations, she has become a conquerer of tackling hot topics with writing highly knowlegable novels. It is impossible to not be captivated by the way she forces us to think, about right and wrong.

The past, in which rewarded him destiny . . .

East meets West, yes, another one of authour Danny Boyle's Grammy winners. A classic Indian film, contributing to a wider audience range. A great movie, with a unique story line. In contrast with many bollywood films which often portray the indian culture as highly glamourized, this film was actually filmed in india, helping viewers get a glimpse of the reality many are faced with every day in the "slums". A true story of rags to riches, along with the theory of survival of the fittest. From corruption to deceit, Boyle still finds a way to incorporate a true love story making it intriguing for the audience. While contributing a wide range of music from western artists, yet still with the indian vibe Boyle managed to conjour up a real box office winner. An excellent movie, with an exciting " rush of colour, motion and sound, " one I recommend to many, enjoy it with either a friend, family, or even that special loved one.

Synthesis; " The Lottery " & " The Perils of Indifference "

" The Lottery ", aswell as the speech " The perils of Indifference " both demonstrate, violence and inhumanity being performed by the most "ordinary" citizens. Both pieces of work reflect on how many people remain bystanders in serious yet obvious acts of inhumanity. For example, in " The Lottery ", they celebrate an annual tradition in which everyone in the village takes part, a rather frightening tradition. Many would view this as more of a vicous crime, rather than a usual townly event. However this abnormal group, didnt seem to think so. This tradition was named to be " The Lottery ", where entire families got together and took part, consisting of a large black box in which the members of each and every family would draw from. Although what they drew, was much different than what you think. The contents of this rather large black box consisted of neatly folded slips of paper, either blank or dotted black. This lottery only consisted of one slip containing the black dot, which we could assume would be the winner. The winner turned out to be a wife, and mother named Tessie Hutchinson, she was a winner indeed. But not the type of winner you may think, a winner; only to be stoned upon by the whole community, including her own family. As she began to scream "It isn't fair, it isn't right, " they were already upon her.


So I ask you, would you feel obligated to take action, in such an act of injustice? As the speech " The Perils of Indifference " indicates taking action too late, may result in unreversable immense damage, and may not be forgiven or forgotten. A prime example, presented in this story would be " The Holocaust ", in which many Jew's were victims of genocide. And this takes me back to having the ability to take action in events of injustice. This speech fully expresses how America had the full capability to aid in this horrific act of violence, yet chose to ignore the situation at hand until it was far too late.

This is why they say breakfast skippers often lack energy and tend to feel sluggish . By not consuming breakfast, you are bound to gain more of an appetite throughout the day, causing you to eat more than you ever would have, which can threaten your health. Many say the reason as to why they choose not to eat breakfast is because they simply dont like the basic meals. However many do not realize the variety of foods there is to choose from. My top choices for a healthy breakfast may include whole grain cereals topped with fresh fruit and yogurt. Few argue they dont like to eat heavy meals that early in the day, so it is recomended that you have a simple drink whether its a serving of juice or a basic breakfast smoothie. While some enjoy big hearty meals, like a rich omlet, sided with bacon and ham.

Superpower

If I were to have the powers of any superhero in the world, I would have to choose Will Smith in Hancock. These powers would allow me to fly, and save the world from ferocious predators with my supersonic flight, invulnerability, immortality, and super-woman strengths. These powers would allow me to save humans and prevent potential acts of crime from happening. I would be completely unselfish while using them, and would dedicate my live to saving people and stoping criminals.
